Tall Raised Beds vs. Elevated Beds: Which Fits Your Garden?
Both reduce bending. They differ in soil depth and what you can grow.
- Elevated beds (on legs): Vego lists 32" height with 12" soil depth, best for patios, decks and balconies.
- Tall raised beds (soil to the ground): Vego's 32" Extra Tall 42" round bed lists a 27 cu ft volume, and the maker says deeper soil suits deep-rooted plants and large crops.
Tradeoff: tall raised beds take far more soil to fill. Elevated beds can sit on a patio but hold shallower soil.
